Dens
Each child belongs into a “den”, and each den is based on grade level. Each den meets 1-2 times a month for 60-90 minutes. Den meeitngs are on Mondays, exact time TBD. Kindergarten and 1st grade parents attend the den meetings with their children.
During den meetings the scouts work on “Adventures” with the goal of completing the required adventures to achieve a “rank” by the end of the school year. Each grade level works towards a specific rank - check out this guide to all of the ranks and adventures to learn more.
Pack
All of the grade level dens form our Pack 3904. The pack meets once a month, usually on the 3rd Friday of every month during the school year at 7:00pm for 90 minutes in the St Edward's Unity Hall (lower level meeting space below the church). Parent(s) attend the pack meetings with their scout. During pack meetings scouts receive the awards that they earned and then the scouts complete an activity. Past activities include our annual pinewood derby, rain gutter regatta, blue and gold banquet and more!

While St Edward Church is our chartering organization, you do not have to be Catholic to join Pack 3904. It is important to know that the BSA has a religious element as a part of the program as stated in the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
However, the BSA is absolutely nonsectarian in its attitude toward a member’s religion or faith. The BSA policy is that the home and organization or group with which the member is connected shall give definite attention to religious life.
Each rank has one “Family and Reverence” adventure which is completed at home by each scout and their family. As an example of what's required, check out the 5th grade Family and Reverence adventure
It is the philosophy of Scouting to welcome all eligible youth, regardless of gender, race, ethnic background, sexual orientation, or gender identification, who are willing to accept Scouting's values and meet any other requirements of membership.
Pack membership is open to youth in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Lion—Kindergarten (year before first grade)
Tiger—First grade
Wolf—Second grade
Bear—Third grade
Webelos Scout—Fourth and fifth grade
Lions and Tigers must have an adult partner. If the parent is not serving as the adult partner, the parental signature on the application indicates their approval of the adult partner. In addition, if the adult partner does not live at the same address as the Lion or Tiger, an adult application is required.
