All leaders need to complete Cub Scout training as well at Archdiocese of Chicago training. 

Cub Scout Training Overview

Cub scouts requires that all leaders take Youth Protection Training every two years. The pack can not re-charter at the end of the year if all adults have not taken Youth Protection Training. Cub Scouts also offers position specific training. If you complete the training you get a patch!

How to access Youth Protection Training:

• Visit https://training.scouting.org/home and use your my.scouting.org login/password. This is the same account you used to register as a volunteer

• Scroll to the "Programs" section and click the "visit" button on the "Youth Protection Training" module and take all the courses under Y01 Youth Protection Training. 

How to access position specific training:

• Visit https://training.scouting.org/home and use your my.scouting.org login/password. This is the same account you used to register as a volunteer

• Scroll to the "Programs" section and click the "visit" button on the "Cub Scouts" module and take all the courses under the Den Leader training.

Archdiocese of Chicago Training Overiew

The Archdiocese of Chicago also has separate training requirements listed below. The CANTS 689 form must be submitted annually. Virtus will also periodically email bulletins which you must read and take a one question quiz to acknowledge receipt.

Archdiocese of Chicago Virtus Training

• Complete the following trainings:

  • Protecting God's Children

  • Keeping the Promise Alive 

• When done, forward certificates of completion to Chris@stedparish.org 

Archdiocesan Standards of Behavior 

• All Virtus users will be prompted to read and acknowledge in Virtus. 

Background Check 

• Log into Virtus and click on the "Background Check" section on the main page and follow the instructions

• Please forward Chris@stedparish.org your electronic receipt/Certificate of completion 

Mandated Reporter Training 

• Register for and complete the training here: Mandated Reporter Training Link

• Please forward Chris@stedparish.org your electronic receipt/Certificate of completion 

CANTS 689 Form

• This form must be completed annually

• Download and complete this form: CANTS 689 Form

• When complete, email Chris@stedparish.org. He will forward it to the appropriate parties. Do not send to the email address listed on the form

CANTS 22 Form

• Download and complete this form: CANTS 22 Form

• When complete send to Chris@stedparish.org.
