Then all leaders must complete Cub Scout training as well Archdiocese of Chicago training. 

Cub Scout Training Overview

Cub scouts requires that all leaders take Youth Protection Training every two years. The pack can not re-charter at the end of the year if all adults have not taken Youth Protection Training. Cub Scouts also offers position specific training. If you complete the training you get a patch!

How to access Youth Protection Training (this is mandatory):

• Visit https://training.scouting.org/home and use your my.scouting.org login/password. This is the same account you used to register as a volunteer

• Scroll to the "Programs" section and scroll all the way to the right to the "Safeguarding Youth" module and take the "Safeguarding Youth" training

How to access position specific training (this is optional but recommended):

• Visit https://training.scouting.org/home and use your my.scouting.org login/password. This is the same account you used to register as a volunteer

• Scroll to the "Programs" section and click the "visit" button on the "Cub Scouts" module and take all the courses under the Den Leader training.

Archdiocese of Chicago Training Overiew

The Archdiocese of Chicago also has separate training requirements listed below. The CANTS 689 form must be submitted annually. Virtus will also periodically email bulletins which you must read and take a one question quiz to acknowledge receipt.

• Log into Virtus and click on the "Background Check" section on the main page and follow the instructions

   • Den Leader patch

   • If earned, any applicable knot patches (Eagle Scout, Religious Award, Order of the Arrow, Den Leader award, etc.)
